I think Hurts has his "coming out party" and is the clear MVP for this one.

I can't argue against Hurts being the mythical MVP of this game. I literally believe his legs to be the key to victory, offensively.

But Hurts' "coming out party" is well in his rear-view mirror. I'm actually baffled at some Bama fans' continued viewing of one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in CFB as some make-do, sophomore, almost-liability. Hurts is the truth, and he 'came out' lonnnnnnnnnng ago. (no homo)

He was and has been a very good qb for us, and effective in the college system we have rolling with his phenomenal running ability. Don't get me wrong, I have been on the Hurts bandwagon for a long time. But if you think his coming out party is behind him, I just have a higher expectation of what he is capable of.

Maybe its just excitement for the upcoming game,(probably more like blind optimism), but i get this excited feeling that this may be when he completely takes over - through the air and on the ground - against a quality opponent in a rivalry game where his greatness is undeniable.

He has always been able to do it with his legs and his passing game has been good at times just very inconsistent in leading receivers for the catch and run and some of the other little things like that.

I feel like the last few weeks he has had more confidence in his throws, particularly mid-range, and maybe that next level of potential clicked for him against MSU (the best game of his career in my mind, not necessarily stats wise but decisions, leading the team, etc.) - again this could just be me getting excited, but can't wait to find out.

Oh ya and all that said, if our D comes to play (appears we may be healthier than anticipated) my vision probably won't happen as we probably wont need Hurts to perform at such a level. Either way, i'll be happy.
