Except for the fact that being the only star around a lot of mediocre talent and less-than mediocre coaching, Simmons didn't play in the postseason with LSU, and it was argued by many that his experience at LSU HURT - not helped - his draft status. Simmons has later been interviewed stating that his time at LSU was a waste of time for him. IMO Simmons' example at LSU would not be good for Zion....

How did it hurt?
he still was taken #1.
Sure there may have been "2nd guessing" but he still was taken 1st.
I think a lot of one and dones will say that honestly.
I think it's a stupid rule. Let the kids go to the pros.
I think it actually hurts their draft status coming from HS (and after all rankings). More tape on these kids, more time for scouts to see em, and down their stock goes.
but I understand its a rule from the NBA players union
