After Coach Stallings retired, the fans had a write in campaign for the University to hire Mike Dubose. The Bama AD did hire him, even though he had no big time college experience. It ended up too much for Dubose and it set Alabama back for years. Bama also went on crippling probation for events that happened under Dubose's watch.
