Not saying AU has the advantage at LB, but this is the deepest and most talented LB unit since Tuberville.

Where are the Clemson posters to weigh in on Clemson's LBs? My guess is they're already dealing with lines of customers at Sbarro

Clemson has Kendall Joseph (34) who had a really good game against Auburn last year and Dorian O'Daniel (6) returning. And Tre Lamar (57) is the new starter, I believe he was a 4 star. He's a true sophomore, he's a big help in the run game. All are really good athletes, have made some really big plays in really big moments

Sorry; we were swamped. Ran out of banana peppers.

Venables is not only the DC, but he takes a special interest in his old position, hence we've been blessed with a constantly improving LB corps since his arrival.

Kendall Joseph had over 900 snaps last year at MIKE and is the most experienced LB, and will start at WIll.

Tre Lamar is starting MIKE. Big LB at 6'3" 240, 5*, all that stuff. He took around 100 snaps last year. He's a good bit bigger than Joseph who played there last year.

Chad Smith is the other big LB at MIKE. 6'4" 235. Has played ST until now, but looks like he's going to get his chance this year.

Dorian O'Daniel put in right at 500 snaps last year at SAM, and is probably the best run stopper (contingent on seeing what Lamar does). He's the only Sr of the bunch.

Losing Boulware will hurt more from a loss of leadership than anything. No one knew the defense or played harder, but he was a bit of a liability against the pass. These guys are all very athletic. This LB corps is going to be very good. When even Venables doesn't have much to complain about, you can rest assured that he doesn't see any insurmountable problems.
