No, from a total production standpoint he's ahead of McElroy.

As a first year starter, McElroy averaged 179 ypg, had a YPA of 7.7, and a TD to INT ratio of 4.25.

Hurts first year per game average was 185. YPA was a very similar 7.3. His TD/INT ratio was noticeably worse at 2.55 but that's just passing.

McElroy had 83 yards and 1 TD rushing. Hurts added an additional 954 yards and 13 TDs.

Hurts' first season production was so much better than McElroy's that any comparison is really laughable.

I was specifically referring to the ypa stats in the post I replied to. Yeah, Jalen was way more productive than McElroy overall. He's got the skills to be lethal. Hope he can put them all together this season.
