How great did McCarron look against LSU the first time?
Didn't Sims look pretty weak against WVU and LSU that year?
I recall Coker struggling against Tennessee, don't you?

Every qb might have a bad game, or even a few bad games. Against good defenses, I don't think Hurts has had a good game yet. He appears still not to be able to read defenses, the coaches are afraid to even call some pass plays, put pressure on him and he can't check down on secondary and third receivers, etc.

Hurts will have to get better or continue to not turn the ball over.

He's still young, but he doesn't have good numbers against ranked opponents. Including last year, here are the numbers against ranked opponents(USC, LSU, AUB, FLA, WASH, CLEM, FSU):

84/149 - 56% comp
133 pass YPG
7TD/4INT

Being able to run with the ball makes these numbers bearable.
