2017 offense with 2015 defense

Why can't we do that?
Really?
Let's say it takes BO this year to show improvement. We lost a lot, but if we get the recruits plus smash, beyers, an the transfer from Texas, we would have talent on the d line and some Incoming linebacker talent. What if this year is an improvement, and next year is a run at the SEC championship. That would make 2019 a run at the national championship.
Not saying that happens. But, it could if recruiting goes well and we don't completely shite the bed this year.
Look. If this year isn't great, we return Lock, Crocket, and most of the offense.
We get some good recruiting and build the D back up, and we could have something special.

The DL seems pretty well stocked for now and the near future.
We've got to get some talent on the backend. I hope we are seriously considering some JUCO corners. We need immediate help at that position.
