In the lead up to the game, United Press International called the 1927 Rose Bowl the "football championship of America". And since the game ended in a 7-7 tie, both Alabama and Stanford are right to claim 1926 as a national title year.

So there's 1925 and 1926 explained. I don't know too much about 1930 but I do know that in 1934, Alabama and Minnesota were both awarded by three different systems that were around at that particular time.

As to 1941, I believe any championship claimed post-1936 should be disregarded if not awarded by AP or Coaches.
