They need to be careful, Missouri displayed an abysmal performance last season and lost to MTSU.

They've played the last 2 years, both of which Vandy won. Before that, they played in '01, '02, and '05, which MTSU all won. Before that, they hadn't played since the fifties. Vandy went to Murfreesboro in 2015. It's only 30 minutes down the road. It's becoming a nice little rivalry.

2005 was Cutler's senior year, and they also had Earl Bennett. Vandy was 4-0, with wins over Arkansas and Ole Miss, and everyone thought it would be the year they broke the long bowl drought. Middle blocked a FG on the last play of the game that would have made Vandy 5-0. They didn't win another game until they beat Tennessee in Knoxville in the last game of the season.
