That 2009 SEC Championship Game was easily the biggest statement game in the conference since 2000. Alabama beat the top-ranked and defending national champions by 19 points, ended a potential dynasty, while also starting a dynasty of their own.
Before that game, Florida had been the premiere program in the SEC for the previous two decades. Since that night in Atlanta, Alabama has been a juggernaut and Florida has been mostly mediocre.

It was certainly 2009 but not that game. Bama v LSU and UF v Arkansas were bigger statements. That statement was no matter how bad it makes the league look, no team is stopping this rematch.
