Sweet, now we can make Toney the back up and shift back to an offensive approach that isn't as archaic as it is ineffective.

The Nusschamp approach has failed, time to go back to the spread.

Mac's scheme is considerably better than what we saw under Muschamp. We just haven't had a quarterback capable of hitting open receivers. That's allowed defenses to fill the box, leading to us being incapable of running the ball.

Just an example, it's no coincidence that once Appleby hit Cleveland for a 98 yard touchdown pass, LSUs defense had to loosen up and respect the pass, which is why we were so successful running the ball in the second half.

There's a plan on offense that wasn't there before. I'm ready for us to have a quarterback capable of executing that plan. I hope it's Franks, but if Zaire is capable, it doesn't matter who it is.

The only problem I have with our offense is that I wish we had more pace and flow to it. If we get to the line of scrimmage and run through our motions and pre snap shifts and snap the ball with 15-20 seconds left on the play clock as opposed to 5-10 seconds left, it gives the defense less time to process our shifts, less time for them to communicate, and it gives us more flow to our offense. I'd like to see Mac make that adjustment.
