Former East St. John/Auburn WR Trying out for CFL
D'haquille "Duke" Williams, a former East St. John and Auburn wide receiver, is trying out for a berth on the Edmonton Eskimoes of the Canadian Football League.
CFL training camp for first year players begins Wednesday and full camp on Sunday.
Williams committed to LSU out of junior college in the 2014 recruiting class but eventually signed with Auburn. He caught 45 passes for 736 yards and five TDs and a junior but caught only 12 passes in 2015 before being dismissed from the team after he was involved in an altercation outside a bar.
Williams was not selected in the 2016 NFL Draft despite being considered a top prospect going into the 2015 season. He went to training camp with the Los Angeles Rams last year, but was cut just before the season started.

Remember when he was the best receiver in the SEC. Auburn fans remember.
Nobody else does though.

I still remember an LSU fan saying that if he didn't commit to LSU he would be going straight to the NFL. That was a fun recruitment
He was fun to watch when he was not suspended/injured. Hate he couldn't keep his head on for one more season and gotten drafted. Wish him luck

Guy had so much talent. Fantastic hands.
Work ethic must blow. Didn't he get fat?
