I consider transfers very, very, different. Hurd quit. Transfers are typically seeking PT because they realize they have no real shot of playing at their current school and a lot of times coaches encourage them to do that.

Sheriron Jones transferred from UT twice (came back within a week or two the first time for another year) and I'd hire him in a heart beat. He impacted more than one game by encouraging players on the sideline and you could see him even as a player as future coach but suffered a rash of injuries until Dormady and Guarantano made the depth chart a near impossibility for him to crack. However, he's talented enough to start at a lot of programs.

It was also obvious he loved UT and fans loved him for it. I'd welcome him back as a coach in a heartbeat. In fact, I see that in his future.
