I had just spent Thanksgiving with the fam at our hideaway in north MS. We left Saturday afternoon to head back to our home in Pensacola, knowing that we would miss the game on TV, determined to listen to AU's radio coverage all the way.
When they came back from the break after Yeldon's run and Rod says that Saban was lobbying to have a second put back on the clock, my wife says, "they're gonna kick a game-winning FG now, aren't they?"
I say, well, they're going to try, but we could always block it and run it back for a touchdown, then we'd win. She said, "if that happens, promise me we'll pull off the road and get out of the car and dance around to celebrate."
I'm sure the good folks hanging out that night at Fran's Country Grill on US 29 in Molino FL are convinced to this day that we're fricking nuts

I havent been to Frans in a long time... remember living their burgers when I was a kid. Changed the name didnt they?
I was at Bru's Room in Pembroke Pines. Only AU fan there. Everyone was watching the Miami game, until I flipped my barstool when I jumped up screamimg "RUN YOU BASTARD!"
Whole place exploded when Davis hit the 40. Few people bought me shots, then some dude came up and said "I just made 5g on this game." Shook my hand, turned to the bartender and paid my tab.
Great night.
