Why not? Acknowledge that it's not working out, part ways amicably and move on before he further damages the program.

Baseball people are saying we made a mistake. The state of the program and inferences from a multitude of sources point to it being a mistake. The first example was within days of Goff's hiring, the kid we had committed to pitch for us who was supposed to be a stud from in state decommits.

We needed a change when Goff was hired but the program was in decent shape. The program didn't need to be burnt to the ground nor should it have been. But it was. It was razed like Sherman through Atlanta. We needed a retooling. Now after one year of Goff, we've got to rebuild from ground zero. That's ridiculous. You might expect that from someone who has the credentials and cache of Nick Saban or Bob Knight. They've earned the respect and right to be assholes and to burn a program to the ground if they see fit. This is Greg Goff, a couple of years removed from mother fricking Montevallo U. Get the frick over yourself. Any coach can be hard nosed. But you have to earn the respect of people to be a first class a-hole and Goff has a long way to go. Pull the plug.
