Goff may not survive, even though I think he will be given a couple more years to try. But if he does not, maybe the next coach can benefit from Goff cleaning house.

ETA: Before being asked or called out. I have no real info other than it has been my impression that this season has tanked due to an internal "revolt" from the players. Maybe players were accustomed to more freedom, feel good pats on the back, etc. than Goff is accustomed to giving. He has to coach the way that fits his personality and that has made him successful enough to land an SEC job.

Just because the current group of players do not appear to respond positively to a coach who, is rumored to be a hard arse, does not mean he cant find players who will. I assume he was the same hard arse at his other stops.

I would rather give him time to build a team with players he wants rather than find a coach to fit the current group of players.

Over time he should do this, but the best coaches adapt their coaching style to fit their players' personalities.

If you watch Saban, he doesn't just chew out everybody. He'll chew out certain players. Others he'll explain to them what they did wrong when they messed up.

How many recruits are seriously going to want to play for Goff? Strict coaching is one thing, but him over using pitchers, making guys shave facial hair, etc. would make UA a no for me if I were a recruit.
