Why hasn’t JJ Peterson pulled the trigger yet?

From @michaelmore41

This is a good question that I don’t have the answer to. I’m surprised that the nation’s No. 1 outside linebacker hasn’t committed yet because Alabama has led for several months now, and I don’t think the Crimson Tide will ever lose their lead.

He’s a guy who’s all about hard work and competing for a spot. That’s what he loves about Alabama and has told me that on numerous occasions. It also helps the Tide’s chances with having Jeremy Pruitt on staff because the team’s defensive coordinator is good friends with Peterson’s coach Rush Propst. Pruitt was Propst’s defensive coordinator at Hoover High School.

Peterson has said he will make a decision after his senior season ends, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see him commit before then.

I saw Jacob Copeland is visiting Alabama again. Is there legitimate interest?

The Florida wide receiver commit is expected to visit Alabama this weekend for the Ole Miss game. He was on campus for the team’s game against Colorado State, so this would be his second game in Tuscaloosa this fall. He hasn’t been to any games in Gainesville yet.

Copeland, the nation’s No. 7 wide receiver in the 2018 class, committed to Florida over Alabama in an SEC Country exclusive video back in August. Copeland told SEC Country last week that he hasn’t completely shut down his recruitment.

“Always gotta leave your options open,” Copeland said. “You never know what could happen at any given moment.”

What does that exactly mean? Well, he has some concerns with how Florida’s offense has looked so far. He mentioned how the Gators have struggled to score and the quarterback play being “wishy-washy.”

“All I can do is wait out the season and go from there,” Copeland said. “I committed to UF because they were there first and stayed with me. But, at the same time, I got to do what’s best for me at the end of the day. I haven’t lost interest in ‘Bama. That’s why I made my way down [there].”

If Copeland does make it to Tuscaloosa this weekend, you can definitely say that the interest is legit.
