Serious question, what did they do with the belt after the game? Did they, hoping no one would notice, have some ballboy or graduate assistant wrap some towels around it and casually sneak it off the field and into the locker room? Did they leave it on the field?

It's a belt given to a defensive player when they get a turnover. It's not a belt given when they think they've won the game or anything like that.
