I don't know where you get your info, and I really don't mean any offense, but there was no 1930 NCAA basketball champion. The first NCAA tournament was in 1939, one year after the NIT began. The NIT was the more prestigious title for almost 20 years.

In 1930, Alabama went 20-0 winning the Southern Conference (predecessor of the SEC and ACC) and being named the top team in the Premo-Porretta rankings.
