The recruit is trying to say that Freeze didn't mean to basically say he was Jesus. Which is irrelevant, saying you're being attacked by the NCAA because of your faith and persecution is just as bad. You aren't going through trials and tribulations because you're a Christian. You're going through them because you cheated and put yourself in the position. This is less of the recruit clearing up the quote and more of the recruit just being a dumb arse.
