I didn't hear enough about Carter
5 star OLB that Pruitt reeled in after Grantham left. Has all the superstar measurables for the position, but played behind Leonard Floyd for his first two years with limited game time. This year was his first year as a full time starter, never really got a chance to make a name for himself. It's really good he's coming back. This is huge for the defense.
He was the highest rated guy on the 2014 class ... above Sony and Chubb.

If they played in the SEC East, it would be the norm. Soon to be 3-0 in the east

Should be a nice 8-4 season if they can beat Tech

Agree. Could be 3-0 against the SEC East. GT played against Clemson, VT and UNC who were all ranked and beat UGA who was unranked with a home loss to Vandy and UGA fans get to call our conference weak. Pretty god damn funny.

If this is not an at worst a 10 win season it'll be a letdown. Hadn't done the roster look over but 90 percent of the 2 deep on both sides return.
You'll see a huge discrepancy on the line next season. From guys in the 280 to 300 pound range to 320-340 for the new starters.
Carter and Bellamy were all expected back. Michel was 50-50.
Now with Chubb, he is not your typical "can't wait to declare" type. The poor season probably left a bad taste in his mouth. He had a decent year for most backs but for him it's not up to par. This bowl game kinda previews if the old Chubb is truly back or the one that will always be hindered by the injury.

In 2010 UGA had an Oline with an average size comparable to most NFL teams and lost to Boise St. whats your point? When are you thick headed morons going to learn that size and speed only get you so far? At some point it takes coaching and Im not sure UGA has employed the right coaches.

Stop it, you are talking about 6 years back. It's not only a size fit but a scheme fit with Pittman. At this very minute there's a huge overhaul literally and figuratively on the off. line.
The Tech program is a joke. Top 150 recruits don't take ya seriously year in, year out. Go get a real D1 coach and get that program back on the right track. Doesn't make sense to be at the epicenter of southern football and not be relevant. Otherwise Georgia State will gladly replace yall.

No one is saying that UGA will be a playoff contender next season. That will happen in 2018 when that great 2016 class are juniors and this is years amazing class are sophomores. I think with East being so down making the SECC game should bare minimum goal though.

Nice looks like it is now a 2 team race between uga and lsu for offseason champs.
Posted on 12/16/16 at 5:39 am to Mr.Sinister
Auburn will be 3rd in that race.
Georgia had their shot in 2012 and they blew it.
They had a shot to get a good coach in 2016 and they blew it.
Realistically they will likely win 8-9 games this year and Kirby will be on the hotseat.
Georgia loves to talk about recruiting classes and good players, because that's all they've ever had.
That's all they will ever have.
History is repeating itself right now.
