You young-uns need to remember that until fairly recently, colleges only played 11 regular season games plus one bowl game. That's 12 games. And back in the 60's the regular season was only 10 games. Winning 10 meant you had to be pretty damn good. Now, the regular season is 12 games, then theres a championship game if you win your division, and a bowl game. That's 14. 10-4 ain't nearly as hard as 10-2 or 10-1. And if you're really good, you get the 12 regular season games, the conference championship, and one or two playoff games for a total of 15 games. My point is, a 10 win season is still good, but it ain't what it used to be. It used to require perfection or damn near it. Nowadays, you can slip up at least twice and achieve that, maybe more. It's overrated compared to the past.

My post wasn't ten win seasons, it was top ten finishes

Clemson was a solid regional program with a great class under Danny Ford that won a national title. Dabo has taken the program to a national level that they've only enjoyed for at most a 5 year period in their entire history.
