OT: Any Byrnes Alumni on here? Any word on new coach?

Coach Lane was actually my football coach at Woodruff when I was in school. Great man and he's still beloved in woodruff.

He does run a strange system that's so pass centric, if his QB isn't good, he won't succeed. I played running back/linebacker, only got carries near the end zone because we were so pass happy. It killed our defense because it was so fast paced.

Same thing with Micah Young although he'd let him but 95 % of the time he'd go pass happy

One game my sophomore year, we got behind 17-0 and coach lane decided it was a passing game only to catch up. Our QB had I think 93 attempts. It was throw every down, even 3rd-4th and 1. The running game was basically shovels inside or forward option pitch looking plays. I absolutely hated it because I was always the protection. Then again, sat a career high in catches with 9 on the option pitches and shovels.

And rooster, it was 2009. I was in 8th or 9th grade when he passed and the funeral was something to behold. We all went with the wrestling team to pay respects. 95% of the wrestling team played football as well.
