Last year as a veteran I agreed to go eat at a restaurant for some Veterans Day deals with a buddy. I waited in line for about an hour and it wasn't even rush hour when we ate. Not only that, many of the veterans had at least two or three family members or friends with them and they had to pay for their own food. Business was very good that night! Is there anybody bothered that these restaurants use the "Support the troops" card to make more money in one day than they will for the next month at least? I get it, it is smart. Supporting the troops on that day is convenient and it is tremendously helpful to the restaurant's own interests. Money. Should these restaurants be just as much appreciated as the local diners, restaurants, and even a few retail stores such as Under Armour( online) that offers a year around veteran discount price?
