By incompetent schemes and playcalling. As a coach, you have to either recruit players to fit your system or tailor the system to fit your players. Butch and Debord have done neither. Just tried to slam a square peg in a round hole. And almost every time Hurd has been handed the ball this year, everyone watching the game knew exactly what was coming. It was easy to stop. Maybe it was a little weak to quit with just 4 games and a bowl left instead of sticking it out, but to me, Hurd is not the one to blame for this season long debacle.

Kelly and Kamara put lie to the theory that the problem for Hurd was scheme. Hurd just isn't as good as they are (his biggest problem is vision - he doesn't see the holes) and realized not only that but also that it wasn't the scheme his uncle's been bitching about since last year. That's why he's going to be a TE instead of transferring to be an RB at an I-formation school.

Hurd would have been a better fit at UGA or Bama with our style of offense.

At one point in the offseason you stated that you would take Hurd over Fournette due to our poor OL.

When I argued, you told me to stick to basketball.
