I'll admit that there are lots of buildings on campus in horrible condition, but to equate the funding of athletics to the library leaking is a bit of a stretch. There is a reason that basements aren't a common construction practice in South Louisiana (and it has nothing to do with football).

This article seems to show where the real problem is in the process to receive funding for the deferred maintenance that is required across campus. Of course it would be nice if everyone who donates to TAF would also match their donation to pay for repairs/maintenance of campus buildings, but when the joint legislative capital outlay committee repeatedly ignores the LSU Board of Regents requests for maintenance funds, you can't blame football....

Dude, get over it, no body's blaming football for anything. They're blaming idiots in Louisiana who care more about entertainment than education.

The graph points out that LSU is the only school in the SEC that gets more donations to the athletic fund than their academic fund. That is an embarrassing travesty.
