Jones is a snake oil salesman. Lying is in his nature. What is really puzzling is why he kept playing Hurd over Kamara and Kelly.
Kelly only had 14 carries against USCe and had 97 yards.

If you've ever read his uncle before the guy has painted JH as a self-centered diva for years. Hurd is so concerned about scheme he's going to be a WR/TE somewhere instead of transferring to a school that runs the I.

No, the point is you want him canned because that loss sucked. However, believing that CBJ outright lied to Hurd about the I is nuts, especially since Hurd is going to go play TE. With what's come out on Hurd, we'd have been better off if he'd transferred when Hurd's uncle threatened it last year. He quit during the UGA game and has been a MAJOR PROBLEM all season. He's been a locker room issue, divided the team, and his behavior has contributed greatly to why the team imploded against SC. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

We wouldn't anyway so it doesn't really matter but I'm sure there's an interim process to do so if some type of an emergency ever arose.

I am hoping he pulls a Cuonzo and leaves for another job...even though that wont happen.
As far as Hurd goes, he has played his arse off for three years and I have enjoyed watching him play, even if he is somewhat overrated. He and others might be prima donnas, but it seems weird to have this mass revolt. I think more shite comes out soon and bedlam ensues.
Edit: And I think Butch has had time to prove his coaching aptitude and just isn't cut out to coach at this level. I think a Cincinnati type job is perfect for him.

Not really. I can recall the preseaon when butch and that idiot frickBord were talking all about their new I-form wrinkle, which has been bullshite to this point.
and it's not just one loss. it's year four and a loss to a team inferior to ones we have beat handily.

A wrinkle for the Northwestern game. If you haven't noticed OL hasn't been able to block for shite this year. They're not capable of running an I and Dobbs isn't going to do well with I formation's drop back (he barely has the footwork down in the shotgun and is still prone to fricking that up which fricks up his passes). If you don't pass in the I then every time you use it the other team knows you're running.
We have two better RBs on the team this year (Hurd was 3rd best before he quit) and they've been ridiculously good when they've had touches. Hurd, OTOH, has been a disaster this year and has zero vision and zero speed. Not only should we not change a scheme for one player at the detriment to the entire OL, your QB, and two other better RBs, Hurd should've been getting a lot fewer touches earlier in the year.
Hurd was never worth any of that and it's highly doubtful he was promised jack shite. No way you sacrifice all that for one player. I've read this uncle's posts for years and the guy has an agenda and always has. When posters pointed out that Kamara was better than Hurd last season the Uncle (who has served as Jalen's mouthpiece) threw a fricking hissy fit and threatened to transfer over it. Hurd was talked into staying and that was the mistake of the season. Hurd's been a cancerous bitch boy all year and and has brought everyone around him down. shite like that matters.

Prof making good sense. Some of you guys jump ship at the first sight of trouble every year. Maybe you should find another team to pull for. Like him or not, Butch has pulled this team out of the mud. Has he reached his ceiling? Maybe. But, as long as he is the coach, I will support him and this team. GBO.

what are you gonna do, bud? Do I like it? No. But I refuse to throw him off a bridge. Again, as long as he is the coach, I will support him AND this team. Im not the type to want to fire a coach at the first sight of trouble. Like it or not, he has done some good things for this program. Everybody is intitled to their opinion and I respect that. That just seems to be mine. This team can still win 9 games and get a decent bowl game. Was that the case 4 years ago?

9 games, no East title, and a tax slayer bowl appearance were not the goal in year 4 with the most talented team Butch will ever have at UT. He is now getting whipped on the recruiting trail, there will be no more top 7-8 classes under him.
