Why would he be matched with a LB? Why wouldn't he be matched with a safety like we did against Ole Miss? Seemed to work out pretty well and Engram is better receiving threat than Howard.

Howard runs a lot of flats routes and corner routes, I guess a safety could crash on that but I doubt that's the best way to attack that. Engram's bread and butter is intermediate middle of the field. Beckwith is a fine player. He can't play all night with OJ Howard in man coverage without giving up some big plays. Kid outran your entire secondary as a freshman
