Would you rather be playing the game tonight, Thursday, or at 11 a.m. local on Saturday? Would you have taken off of work to go out to the Grove?

Thursday doesn't allow for enough practice and prep time. Screw Thursday games unless it's someone else playing, in which case I don't care.

I'm alreayd pissed we have to play on a monday in 4 years. I guess I'm gonna have to frickin take off work Tuesday.

JV Football plays on Thursday nights so its fitting its a GT mainstay

I like that games exist in Thursday nights but am very happy that Georgia does not play in them

We played Tech on Thanksgiving back in the 90s, but that's a bit different than a random Thursday night game.
Like others have said, I'm glad these games are on, but I'm also glad we don't play them.

You know...for some reason I was thinking it was the JV that played on Thanksgiving and we still played on Saturday. Is that not right? It's been so long ago, it's hard to remember.

way back when, probably 70s and earlier (not sure when the practice ended) you're right in that the young squads would play early and the 'varsity' woudl play saturdays. That definitely wasn't still going on in the 90s though.
Fun fact: the '93 tech brawl (where we beat their arse on the scoreboard and the fight) was on thanksgiving day.

They did play the JV game from 1933-1993 on Thanksgiving Day until that game was done away with.
In 1995 we played them on Thanksgiving and staged a great comeback win and in 1993 we also did the Thanksgiving Day thing and blew them the hell out with a massive brawl on the field, which we also won.
Thursday night games suck, but not as bad as Tech.
