He was 30 yards away, but there were at least 4 Ole Miss players closer to the ball carrier. He was out of the play and he wasn't even sprinting down the field.

I agree. Refs fricked up with enforcing the penalty. I don't like the rule, though.

Also, according to the refs, the play was over because they had already scored. It was pathetic all around.
