But he'd have only one year left to play at Bama with no guarantee he could beat out Tua and whomever else Bama signed between now and then. Compare that to graduating in three, picking a place where you're very likely start, and playing for two years. For a kid from California that may have an NFL arm, there's really not a lot to think about.

i agree, but i'm looking at the past success of two recent bama qbs who didn't start til their senior year is all.

certainly something to chew on.
