How does our TE get called for this twice. I'm assuming it's because of the formation we were in but any insight?

As I understand it, and I'm a bit fuzzy on this, he can't be covered by one of the WRs. Someone with less of a hangover hopefully has a better explanation.

I wondered this too. It has to be formation and how he lines up.

if only there where something called google.

He has to be on the line and at an end of it to be eligible. if a WR is up the the line outside of the TE the tight end is covered by the Wr and not eligible. That's my guess. I didn't see the play

Easy bub. Just a question.

If that were the case, and I'm not sure, because I wasn't paying attention to the formation then it's on Heupel. The first time the TE was going out to block a bubble screen and the second he was actually running a route.

It depends on how they lined up. I'll see if I can find the play

on the first one he lined up out in the other slot as essentially a WR but he's covered by the other WR (and he doesn't have a WR team number) and then he just took off downfield. Bad formation

2cd one was the same formation, although he took one quick step and stopped and didn't go downfield, so I'm not sure. He gets 3 yards there so it looks like a bad call
