I wouldn't put too much into to that. It's a great award but Justin Worley was the National Gatorade Player of the Year too and absolutely killed it in HS. Eason is far more talented than Worley ever was but those accolades just don't mean much in terms of projecting college careers. And to be fair to Worley, I think had he been able to redshirt earlier (not when he got injured later - Dooley literally burnt his RS for no explicable reason and the action was so bizarre that everyone from announcers to fans were scratching their heads) he'd have been a far better QB his first year as a starter back when we had that all-NFL OL.

I think Eason has the physical tools without a doubt to be one of the best in CFB but we'll have to wait and see if he has the rest of what makes a great QB. It's one of the reasons I'm excited to see him play this year and watch his development while he's in college.

Nothing in my post was about eason in college. I was responding to the person who thought it was crazy to say eason has "championship potential".
