Alabama offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor was found not guilty of driving under the influence Tuesday morning, Taylor's lawyer, Jason Neff, confirmed with AL.com.

Taylor was arrested in July and charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

"We are very happy with this ruling and hope that he will now have the opportunity to move forward with his football career," Neff said in a statement released to AL.com.

Was it because his car didn't have air conditioning and he had to drive around in the heat while everybody else has cars with AC?

I thought they hadn't ruled on the leaving the scene part yet?

Not yet, but it's expected to be dismissed once the insurance has paid.

while placing the additional leaving the scene of an accident charge under review with the expectation that the charge will be dismissed upon payment between Taylor’s insurance company and that of the owner of the vehicle he hit.
