Good lord people have been saying this shite every year since 2009 and it's become apparent that Alabama are not the norm in this regard. There is next to no drop off year by year with them, there is absolutely 0 reason to expect them to drop off by any noticeable margin, especially when their defense returns a ton.

The last three times bama and saban ('14, '12 and '10) returned five or few starters on "D" their points given up per game and total defense per game increased.
