Here we are boys (and girls). We are finally on the precipice of the season. All the yapping of the offseason will very soon be replaced by actual results to discuss. Questions to be answered as wiBO leads his boys into battle and looks to conquer the South once and for all for the great state of Missouri.

Looking at some of the position battles that will take form, nearly all on offense, and Heupel has his work cut out for him.

QB Can Lock play to potential? Can we keep him off his back enough to even know? How much will Zanders be used and how?

RB Who gets the most carries. Likely Ross, but Witter and Strong will challenge. Better depth here and bringing in Ross and getting Strong eligible gives us a legitimate SEC backfield.

WR Man, who knows here. Ton of bodies, but no one has done much of anything to seperate themselves. Have to think Black is a starter, and Moore and Brown would be the favorites but no guarantees. Guys like Johnson and Smith intrigue me as well. I also like Hall and Dilosa is a good athlete for his size. Hopefully the staff finds there best 5-6 guys and plays them, instead of running out 9-10. Hard to get a good rhythm that way.

OL here it is. Single biggest question mark and probably the key to our season. Have to think its Howell, Harris, Abeln, Pendleton, Adams. A couple, or all of the newcomers will have to be ready to play as well. Please Ellarbee, make this work somehow.

TE Depth seems to be in order here. Quality receivers and blockers

DL Plainly nasty. Elite talent, depth, experience. We are VERY good here.

LB Have to feel really good here too. Scherer and Newsome are plus players, interesting battle with Lee, Burkett and Hall for the other spot

DB Again looking good. Corner spot opposite of Penton is a bit of concern, and the other safety spot is not settled but really like the guys we have their fighting for it.
