He was amazing. I still remember the ND vs. UT series and man that Notre Dame team was loaded. All Hail the Miracle at South Bend -- one of the best comeback against all odds games in CFB history.

As for Ismail... he did play in Canada and on his own terms. He went there for an outrageous amount of money that the NFL wouldn't touch. I think the CFL thought that if they could get him they could raise the CFL but really they needed more than one player of his caliber.

EDIT to ADD: Kinda crazy but I just realized that Dale Carter was on that UT team and now his son Nigel Warrior is a freshman on this year's team.
