Looking at it from Non-bias stand point I pick AM which is a coach away from putting it together. Just as any program can hire a bad coach or two. TCU, Baylor and to lesser degree Houston have been contenders into late into November for BCS championship berths or playoff slots in past few years....They are in Texas's shadow too....so don't see the argument in that.

Houston has always had great teams throughout the years but nothing consistent
TCU is an old time SWC power from pre WWII but they even with a Rose Bowl win have not been able to expand their brand outside of the Metroplex
UT is a big name everywhere in Texas throughout the years. Maybe someone can usupr the throne but it has not happened in along time
A&M will not be the university
They no longer exist truthfully in Texas
