My point in the OP was simply that his decision was seemingly consistent with his record on similar issues and not a result of some tie to or love of Alabama (as a few have claimed), nor was it a result of being paid off (as many, many more have claimed).

What bewilders me is the Bama fans that are trying to internally rationalize to themselves why no charges were filed. Or desperately seeking answers. Bunch of attention whores.
