The Big 12 is a joke of conference and tu gets rent-a-wins in UTEP, Cal, OSU, ISU, K-State, Tech, WVU and Kansas. If he doesn't win 8 games on talent alone he's terrible.

Agreed, but the comparisons should scare you.
Remember that Fran had the #8 recruiting class in 2005. The 2005 season didn't go so well.
