They have been pushing the UH/Tech/UNT/UTSA/Tx State grouping to step up by dangling more funding if I remember right
And they have done a shitty job about making the improvements.
Speak for yourself, aghole.
The University of Texas at Arlington and Dallas are very well-regarded institutions, and along with UT-San Antonio, the UT board of regents has funneled lots and lots of money to them.
In other words, UT is adopting the University of California system method: making the main campus more exclusive (and smaller) while growing the other campuses.
Meanwhile, in College Station, John Sharp is hoarding all the money that is supposed to be used for the entire A&M System, and letting Commerce, Kingsville and the rest rot on the vine.
That way you ****s can log in on the Internet and brag about a $10.5 billion endowment (which is not exclusive to College Station, it's the entire system, that was another John Sharp lie), 75,000 students (biggest in Texas by any means necessary).
All while having a 70-plus percent admission rate and shitty system schools. Oh, and a plummeting US News ranking for the College Station campus.
Your aggie hubris will (again) be your downfall.

Oh, and the UT Austin admission rate is 40 percent, with more applications than the aggies, as well as slightly different standards on top 10 (it's top 8 at UT Austin) percent Texas graduates guaranteed admission.
So what's the deal? Why a 30-point difference?
