UT football 9/10... easily my most hardcore sports fandom
UT baseball 3/10... just never have really cared. Only reason I want us to win is so I can lol at teams that lose to us
UT basketball 5/10 right now... this is an interesting one because this number fluctuates a lot. Depending on how well we're doing, I may care almost as much as I do for football, or almost as little as I do for baseball.
UT WBB Pat era: 7/10 Holly era: 4/10
Non UT fandoms:
Smokies baseball (local AA team) 4/10... I go to several of their games a year and pull pretty hard for them when I do but rarely follow the ones I don't go to.
St Louis Cardinals 4/10... family connections to St L so we've been Cards fans since before I can remember. Not fun to watch them fall flat on their face on Sunday to start the season
Denver Broncos ??? Now that Peyton's retired I'm really not sure. It was at probably a 6 the past few years with him there.
I don't exactly have a hard and fast NBA team, though I follow the league. I hope teams with Vols in their regular rotations do well (Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Miami Heat). I also love watching what the Warriors have been able to do this year, even through a recent outbreak of injuries, and find myself wanting them to break the record and win the title to go down as possibly the greatest team ever. Not sure I'd really call myself a fan per se, because if I was that would make me a bandwagon fan and I've never bandwagoned any team previously in my life. Then again, if you're gonna pick one team ever to jump on the bandwagon for, this team is probably a pretty good one to pick. I think a lot of the hate for them doesn't even come from what they do in the first place, instead it mainly comes from how much excessive media hype they get (specifically Curry).
Oh ya know what... frick it
