Yes there was a rule passed like that, but would Simmons even fall under that rule if he hasn't even begun taking classes? Would he even be called a transfer? The rule is that SEC schools cannot accept transfers that were previously dismissed for "serious misconduct." One of the offenses listed was domestic violence or sexual violence. This honestly won't even fall under domestic violence. It being a woman doesn't make it domestic. If she were connected to him through family or a prior domestic relationship, it would. This appears to be a basic assault case to me.
