It isn't cut and dry though. You can try to simplify it like that but real life situations are rarely simple. You've accepted the kid's LOI, he cannot play elsewhere. What he did was shitty but you are dealing with a young man's life and future.


That is the same type of thinking that has us ruining the lives of 18 year olds for smoking weed. You have to help people. It doesn't matter if they fricked up, they are still people. It's our duty to attempt to correct rather than just flat out condemn.

Assuming that he has already been accepted to the University, Mississippi State can punish him under their student rules.
