I never mistook Mike for Nolan.

He had one solid season at Missouri because three of his best players were either related to him or the son of a close personal friend.

He's never been a great recruiter and he doubles that down by not being able to hire any assistants that can recruit.

Such a waste when the in-state talent over the next four years starting next year, is the best it's ever been. He's already whiffed on Monk.

Inexcusable.

He'll have a Portis or two gifted wrapped for him and dropped in his lap that will allow him to linger. Worst case scenario for hog fans.

Potential to go down as the worst hiring decision since Jack Crowe.

He's the first coach at AR to win at least 18 games in their first three seasons. With the exception of this year, he's made steady progress.

2011–12 Arkansas 18–14 6–10
2012–13 Arkansas 19–13 10–8
2013–14 Arkansas 22–12 10–8 NIT 2nd Round
2014–15 Arkansas 27–9 13–5 NCAA Round of 32
2015–16 Arkansas 12–14 5–8

He's not on the hot seat. Need I remind you of the Pelphrey years?

2007–08 John Pelphrey 23–12 9–7 NCAA Second Round
2008–09 John Pelphrey 14–16 2–14 N/A
2009–10 John Pelphrey 14–18 7–9 N/A
2010–11 John Pelphrey 18–13 7–9 N/A

Again, he's not on the hot seat. Next year will solidify whether or not AR starts looking around, though I seriously doubt he gets let go next year. His contract expires in March 2020 currently though the buyout is only $1 mil.
