Alabama junior wide receiver Raheem Falkins (leg) and redshirt freshman center Joshua Casher (pec) are out with injuries and did not participate in the first practice of fall camp, Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban announced Thursday.
Saban also touched on the injuries of Cameron Sims and Bo Scarbrough, who both injured their ACLs this spring.
And Scarbrough, who was limited at Thursday's practice in a black, no-contact jersey, is suspended for the first four games of 2015 because of "an NCAA thing," according to Saban. The tailback is ahead of schedule in his rehab, though.
"It's an NCAA thing," Saban said. "We have to respect what they say on amateurism. I don't really know the details of it, and I shouldn't comment because it seems like every time I make a comment about something it gets taken out of context and blown up and all that. So I'm going to make less comments about things."
