IMO homecourt advantage is bigger when there are no dominant teams, like this year in CBB. Then with so many inconsistent teams, the team more comfortable in their own home gym ultimately plays better and wins. UT is an extremely bipolar example, but we are 11-2 at home and 1-10 on the road.

I think the officiating is playing a bit of a role too. I don't think most CBB refs do a good enough job of not letting the home crowd affect them.

Now with them looking for more handchecking calls they can just go crazy with the amount of fouls they call.

I do think how crappy some of the last few recruiting classes have been is having a bit of an impact. 2 of the last 3 classes have been considered pretty weak.
