Figured we could have 1 thread on this rather than 6 when they all come out. Next one I know coming out is Perfect Game on the 13th.
D1Baseball: #17
Collegiate Baseball: #35
Perfect Game: NR
ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll:
Baseball America:
NCBWA:
D1Baseball: #17

While the Gators lead the charge out of the Southeastern Conference, the league is well represented in the Top 25, as usual. The SEC leads all conferences with seven teams ranked, including fellow SEC Eastern Division foe Vanderbilt at No. 3., Texas A&M at No. 4, LSU at No. 7, Mississippi State at No. 15, South Carolina at No. 17 and Arkansas coming in at No. 25.

I'm happy to see that we are not overrated ... but Holbrook is definitely on the hotseat.

That's higher than I thought we would be ranked, although if D1 Baseball looks at the Perfect Game and other recruiting services team rankings the past 4 years, they would probably think we're ranked too low.
We are stacked with talent that most teams would give their left nut for. I just hope we find some really solid weekend starters and a clutch reliever. Expecting Braden Webb to step up this year, he is built like Jordan Montgomery.
I'm not worried about hitting this year, I looked at some of the guys coming back averages and performance from the summer and fall ball. We had a lot of young guys last year who didn't crack the lineup, but who will get a shot this year. Plus we have 5 new players who were drafted this past year, but didn't sign, 3 of which were PG Top 100 players.

I don't follow baseball recruiting much, but hasn't our recruiting been really good lately? How are we only 17

I'll expand on this more in another thread, but yes. Here are the Perfect Game Class Rankings since Holbrook took over in '12.
https://www.perfectgame.org/rankings/Recruiting/Rankings.aspx
(By the way, these are AFTER MLB rankings as well, so they don't count the players signed by MLB.)
'16 - #4
'15 - #8
'14 - #3
'13 - #3
'12 - #9
Let it be known, I never said Holbrook can't recruit.

Because we're coming off a season where we didn't make the NCAAT.
