Never too early to talk about the upcoming season. I know signing day is coming up but damn that top 10 finish and Swag coming back has me giddy. Couple of points

1) O-Line: Needs to have stability. the interior is going to be solid with Sims, Patterson, Rawlings/Conyers being swing men. Apparantly Rod taylor is still making a move to Tackle, as is Liggins. Alex Givens is coming up and will play significant snaps at RT. Little at LT.

1b) With Liggins moving to tackle, expect a shuffle pass or a double reverse to the pulling Liggings against FSU

2) Linebackers: Damn we need Mique. Other than that, Gates has the outside spot on lockdown. Donta evans could potentially play some as a true freshman here. Shawn Curtis is reportedly a beast on scout team and will be expected to step up at Mike backer. Caldwell has a decent year transitioning from JUCO and will need to step up next year.

3) Secondary: CBs should be fine as we return everyone. CJ Hampton needs to stop smoking weed and recover from lingering injuries and take major steps (could be a buying-in issue I don't know). Tony Connor coming back is tremendous. We don't lose the arky game with him. Woods played alot as a freshman and will need to develop more with the 1's in the spring. Deontay Anderson needs to play the same role Red did last year. The Moore twins are juniors and it's time for them to be contributors. Jalen Julius is here as well but I don't know much about him. Hopefully he's the answer to our return game.

4) Running backs: should be the best we have had under Freeze. Judd and Wilkins really came into their own towards the end of the year and Judd looked like a real SEC back. He could be our first thousand yard rusher under freeze. Brazely always flashes brilliance and looks like he's going to take it to the house. Even in the Sugar Bowl he took a handoff to the left and hit the hole with a huge burst and got tackled just from behind or he may have been gone. Swinney was gonna play last year but got injured. He should get some carries and lots of mop up duty to get his feet wet. Pennamon (if we hold on it him. I think we do) looks like a damn 5* on film but will come in way down the depth chart. Possible redshirt candidate unless he shows up and just balls out

5) With the renovations to the Vaught there won't be a Grove Bowl this year. This sucks. I wanted to watch Bae Patterson. Hopefully there will be a few open practices instead

Hotty Toddy!

Player's I'm most looking forward to hearing about/play next season

Jason Pellerin
Shawn "The Brawn" Curtis

ETA:

I'm excited to see how our diamonds on the O-Line do as well as how Willie Hibbler does at Tight End.

Now that we have a nice arena, maybe we should host an Arena Football 7 on 7 type Spring Game.

If Shea weren't committed I would be so excited about Pellerin. Dude just looks like a QB and has a major arm. they had a video of him throwing the ball 55 yards from one knee

ETA: i do want to see Hibbler. Thurley played well last year so I think we will more than okay at TE especially with Coolio and Angel coming in and Evan returning

couple more notes

1) shea patterson will most likely #1

2) victor evans played well this year. Mcdowell did as well. Speaks is a monster. Ross Donnely played a decent number of snaps and takes up alot of space. Gross-daddy is back.

Me and another poster on here who doesn't post much looked at a bunch of recruit/ current players HS films. Swinney looks like a 5* in his. His vision and balance are crazy. He could help us a lot next year if he is healthy.

What is our plan with Jason Pellerin, can he play a different position?

You need back up qbs as Ohio state has shown.

He will be Shea's back up and probably have some of his own packages.

And in the unfortunate event something happens he is starting qb.

Can't move him to a different position and wouldn't want to.

Chad
Shea
Ryan
Jason

You need 4 qbs on the roster.
One each class

Yeah I understand that but when Shea beats him out he wont ever have an opportunity to be the starter and might transfer. Most QB's aren't Ryan.

Think he got hurt and it limited his time in the weight room. There was a rumor he would switch to DL

That would blow my mind. He must have quick feet.

I think it's that he weighs 250 pounds and that's not enough to play OL in the SEC ha
