I have relatives over there that I talk to at least twice a week, and they tell me how bad it's getting. When your kids and females are scared to go outside its a problem. None of them support Nazis, but they are proud of their country and the far right is starting to sound much better than the left. Houses that host refugees are being burnt down and there are far right vigilante groups that are starting to self police.

wow.

wow.

can't blame them at all.

Just my opinion here, I've never met a German that was anything like those that endorsed or turned a blind eye to the problems in the past....I believe the Germans are good people and if anything, the whole WWII/Nazi stigma has made them slow on the trigger to react to things because they've been pretty well shamed in the past 70 years.

If they're at this stage, I'd have to guess things really are bad. I'm surprised there aren't really massive and borderline violent protests to force Merkel out of office.
